COMFORT U. ROBERT SAMBO

As a Master’s graduate in Psychology and Christian leadership, the A.L.I.C training has been nothing short of transformative in both my personal and ministerial journey. The impact of this training permeates every facet of my life, resonating deeply with my academic background and spiritual calling.

From the moment I embarked on the A.L.I.C journey, I was immersed in a wealth of knowledge, wisdom, and practical tools that have enriched my understanding of leadership within the context of Christian ministry. The exposure to diverse perspectives, methodologies, and real-world experiences has broadened my horizons, equipping me to navigate the complexities of leadership with grace and discernment.

One of the most significant gains from the A.L.I.C training has been the cultivation of a deeper sense of self-awareness and emotional intelligence. Through introspective exercises and feedback sessions. I have gained invaluable insights into my strengths, weaknesses, and areas for growth. This heightened self-awareness has not only enhanced my effectiveness as a leader but has also fostered greater authenticity and vulnerability in my interactions with others.

Moreover, the A.L.I.C training has empowered me to integrate psychological principles with biblical truths, resulting in a holistic approach to leadership that is grounded in empathy, compassion, and servant-heartedness. Whether counseling individuals in crisis or leading teams through challenging seasons, I draw upon the rich reservoir of knowledge and skills imparted through this training to bring hope, healing, and transformation.

In addition to the profound impact on my personal and professional development, my role as the class captain provided me with the opportunity to cultivate meaningful relationships with other members of the class. Serving as a liaison between the instructors and my peers, I fostered a supportive and collaborative learning environment where everyone felt valued and heard. These relationships not only enriched my A.L.I.C experience but also continue to serve as a source of encouragement and accountability in my ongoing journey of growth and leadership.

“When I reflect on my Two years with the Apostolic Leadership International College program, I conclude that the experience not only made me a better person, but also prepared me in unpredictable ways for my career. Through lecturers with incredibly supportive classmates, and professors who were nothing short of champions, I was challenged to discover a voice I didn’t know I had. That voice has played a central role in my work, as Paraprofessional is vital to thinking, to planning, to imagination, to communication, and to engagement.  Having been shaped in part by the collegial and creative, yet rigorous, environment at ALIC, I found myself able to communicate, innovate, and collaborate in ways that enabled me to build a successful career , and eventually to find a rewarding career in an independent school. In my current role as a paraprofessional in the School system, It has been a wonderful time in my life, and the best educational experience I’ve had.  Thanks to God, my family friends, love ones and ALIC I

My journey during this Master’s program has been enriched and empowered by the impactful A.L.I.C. training program. As a psychology student pursuing a Master’s in Psychology and Strategic Leadership, I constantly seek to bridge the gap between theory and practice, particularly in the realm of leading others. A.L.I.C. training provided a crucial foundation for this by equipping me with a deeper understanding of leadership styles and their applications.

One pivotal moment came during my job interview. The question of leadership arose, and thanks to Dr. Pastor Patrick Utulu’s insightful teachings on “Management Styles for Effective Leadership,” I was able to confidently discuss the importance of adapting leadership styles for different situations. I explained how effective leaders utilize a range of styles, such as servant leadership, autocratic leadership, and transformational leadership, to best serve their teams and achieve goals.

This experience solidified the impact of A.L.I.C. training. It wasn’t just theoretical knowledge; it was practical wisdom that allowed me to articulate my leadership philosophy with clarity and confidence. Having this toolkit in my pocket has not only benefitted my professional journey but also my ministry work.

A.L.I.C. training has exposed me to a deeper understanding of human behavior, a cornerstone of both psychology and effective leadership. It has equipped me to recognize individual differences within my colleagues and tailor my leadership approach accordingly. For example, I can now utilize a more directive style when clear guidance is needed, while also incorporating elements of servant leadership to foster a sense of ownership and empowerment among Team members.

The gains from A.L.I.C. training extend far beyond the interview room or office walls. It has instilled in me a lifelong commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement as a leader. By understanding the psychology behind leadership styles and their impact on individuals and groups, I can create a more positive and productive environment, both in my professional and spiritual spheres. This, ultimately, allows me to better serve those entrusted to manage, leading with empathy, purpose, and a strategic vision for the future.

A.L.I.C: ” MY GREATEST TIME, CHANCE AND  CHANGE”

“Sitting before the president of Apostolic Leadership International College after the graduation orientation session, I asked, ‘Why didn’t this journey begin earlier in my life?’ Smiling, he answered, ‘These insights and approaches to training leaders in the church were not available until recently…’ My question was born out of unconscious regret for not accessing this exceptional quality of transformational leadership training at the beginning of my ministry. One thing, among others, is the confidence and repositioning I have gained during this training. What Apostolic Leadership International College has done is merge theological training with professional leadership and apostolic training, putting clergy on par with any professional anywhere, anytime, in the marketplace.

Having studied at other institutions, I boldly say that Apostolic Leadership International College’s curriculum is 21st-century compliant, especially in its bid to transform theology-laden pastors into professionals who are no longer ashamed, approved, and riding on the wings of excellence due to the paradigm shift injected by ALIC in times like this.

During the graduation orientation session, Apostle (Dr.) Patrick Utulu, responding to a question on setting standards, said, ‘What you don’t define will redefine your ministry.’ For me, this is a grand takeaway from this training. Like King Solomon concluded in Ecclesiastes 9:11, ‘Time and chance happen to them all.’ I am glad and proud to say that Apostolic Leadership International College is the greatest time and chance that has happened to me in life and ministry.

If life and Christ tarries, training continues at ALIC. I celebrate my president and all the lecturers of Apostolic Leadership International College. Remain lifted.

Participating in A.L.I.C training has been a transformative journey that has profoundly impacted every aspect of my life. Before embarking on this training, I felt stuck in a rut, unsure of how to navigate the challenges I faced and lacking a clear sense of purpose. However, from the moment I stepped into the first session, I knew that A.L.I.C training would be a catalyst for positive change.

One of the most significant impacts of A.L.I.C training has been the exposure to new ideas, perspectives, and experiences. Through engaging lectures, thought-provoking discussions, and hands-on activities, I was challenged to step outside of my comfort zone and confront my preconceived notions and biases. This exposure not only broadened my worldview but also deepened my empathy and compassion for others.

Furthermore, A.L.I.C training equipped me with invaluable skills and tools that have empowered me to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and resilience. From learning effective communication techniques to developing time management strategies, each session provided practical resources that I could immediately apply in my personal and professional life. As a result, I have seen a significant improvement in my productivity, relationships, and overall well-being.

Beyond the tangible gains, A.L.I.C training has had a profound impact on my personal growth and self-discovery. Engaging with fellow participants and knowledgeable mentors created a supportive environment where I felt safe to explore my strengths, weaknesses, and aspirations. This self-reflection has led to a greater sense of self-awareness and authenticity, enabling me to live more intentionally and purposefully.

In sum, A.L.I.C training has been a transformative journey of growth, discovery, and empowerment. It has equipped me with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to navigate life’s challenges with grace and resilience. I am grateful for the opportunity to participate in such a life-changing experience and look forward to continuing to apply the lessons learned as I embark on the next chapter of my life journey.

Blessing Inyang

A.L.I.C as an institution, I will describe it as a hidden treasure that every leader, minister or entrepreneur needs to discover as a matter of urgency.

Indeed I have been upgraded Mentally, Spiritually, Psychologically and otherwise.

I have learned how to handle issues professionally without being biased, applying critical thinking to achieve unusual results in my ministry and businesses.

A.L.I.C blended my prayer life, you can’t have a mentor like Dr. Apostle Utulu without being branded in words and in Prayers.

Finally, I appreciate all the facilitators, the management and the students Affairs department for your commitments towards achieving a greater A.L.I.C, God bless you all.

testimonies from Uganda Center – 2021

Prior to my enrollment with A.L.I.C, I used to be shy, so I spoke to God to manifest Himself in me in the class, I was taught that when the Spirit of God is in you, you can live in the supernatural. Now I can preach with boldness; I can be able to reach out without being shy or intimidated.

I bless God so much for the leadership of AMOI/ALIC for giving us this opportunity to go through the program and take us to another level. I thank God so much for our teachers; we have a very good curriculum with teachers. There are things that we could not understand before now, there are things we do not know in our walk of salvation. I have an understanding of God in another way, so, I cannot be deceived any more because anyone have their own way of preaching. We have many teachers, we have many doctrine. But when we go through ALIC/AMOI curriculum we received a better deeper way of seeing scriptures and understanding God.

The curriculum had helped us to understand the word of God in a different way. God loves us so much by giving us this opportunity.

Madam Christine, Uganda.

I MANIFESTED THE WORD

When you hear the word and you practice it, it becomes much easier to manifest it. By the grace of God, last year I enrolled for the college programme and now I have manifested the word by building a house in one year. And in the course of the Apostolic College program, I have been able to transform myself from the lay way of reasoning the scripture to supernatural way of reasoning the scripture.

Our spirit inside us has been empowered and now we are more empowered to do God’s word. Hallelujah. A.L.I.C is the college for the hour. It is real and transformative.

Pastor Moses, Uganda

My name is Tamale Richard, I am also a student of ALIC as well as a pastor in Uganda. I thank God so much for ALIC. AMOI/ALIC is not only a college, but it is also a ministry that has done more in us as a practical school of life.

We have been taught so much theory before now but AMOI/ALIC will bring it out so that you can go out and practice it.

In AMOI/ALIC I am also blessed. There are so many door that have been opened to me. A lot of international doors have been opened. This past May, I received a call saying, Pastor, we are waiting for you in Kenya, in the USA, a door open again. I thank God where I work in Coca-cola, they said auditors are coming; we want you to act as the accountant.

I was wondering why all these things are happening in just one year? I encountered this school.

I pastor a church where you just sit and watch people come to church, give testimony and go home. But I said to myself, I must attend ALIC/AMOI. I am glad God is doing great things in my life and in the life of one of my sisters that attended AMOI/ALIC with me.

Tamale Richard, Uganda

AMOI is quite a great school, it has brought us to where we are. When we were in school, I was told that there is something God put in me that I must get out, but I am not getting it out.

ALIC/AMOI has made me to be able to understand that I can breathe it and birth it out.

In ALIC/AMOI, I have come to understand that I can be an administrator. But I was hindering myself, I thought I could not make it. It is ALIC that has helped me out.

There is leadership concept that has helped me to understand what leadership is all about; how to lead and move with God.

God has made my heart happy, I began ALIC when I was so dejected, but as I speak, I am no longer dejected. I am now a happy pastor, woman and mother. I was having only one land and that piece of land was ignored, now I have my land title of deed.

Glory be to my God and thanks so much AMOI/ALIC.

Nambosse Annette, Uganda

I lived five (5) year in reproach. I came to ALIC/AMOI. It was a great light. I got to know through the church I attend.

I was doing a course, but had to cancel it so that I can attend AMOI/ALIC.

The first thing I learnt was my understanding of who God is, what the Bible add to me and keys in walking with God.

ALIC/AMOI showed me how great God is. The course was to remind me about the greatness of God.

AMOI taught me how to love God, I was thinking why should I love God with all that I was passing through. Then I remembered, I must love God and give God what He wants. When you ask God for forgiveness and persistently follow Him, He gives you what you want you want.

When you give God what He wants, He will give you what you want.
